All 2-wheeled and 4-wheeled models comply with DIN EN 840 and carry the GS safety mark (Geprüfte Sicherheit). Weber recycling bins are manufactured from high-molecular-weight, impact-resistant HDPE (high-density polyethylene) sourced from established raw material suppliers. All grades are fully UV-stabilised and proven for outdoor use across an operational temperature range of −40 °C to +80 °C – relevant for deployments in both Nordic winters and Southern European summers.
On request, tested recycled HDPE from decommissioned waste containers is available. This closes the material loop without compromising mechanical performance. All raw materials are tested to confirm outdoor suitability and compliance with PAH limits under AfPS GS 2019:01 – the standard that underpins the GS mark requirement.
Wall thickness and load geometry are optimised at every structural stress point through the compact injection moulding process. Over more than 50 years of production, Weber has refined these parameters to achieve the longest possible service life – directly relevant for total cost of ownership in municipal fleets.

It specifies dimensional requirements, load capacity, wall thickness, tipping force, brake performance and compatibility with the lifting systems of standard side- and rear-loading collection vehicles. EN 840 compliance is a mandatory procurement criterion for municipal waste containers across Europe. Weber exceeds the requirements of EN 840 and subjects ongoing production to regular independent monitoring – not only an initial prototype test. This is the distinction between a certified manufacturer and one that has simply passed a one-time sample submission.
Weber clinical waste containers from 240 to 1100 litres are approved under UN 3291 for the transport of clinical waste arising from medical care and treatment. The UN type 4H2 approval covers packaging group class II and III under the ADR (road) and RID (rail) dangerous goods regulations. Containers are leak-proof, lockable and supplied in standard yellow. The UN approval certificates are available for tender documentation. These containers are used by hospitals, healthcare networks, waste management operators and public health authorities across Europe.
